We had a pathway that ran from front yard to back on the side of our house that was showing its age There wasn't a lot of room to work with but having the right tools made easy work of the job.

I'm Darcy, the owner. I'll meet you at the consultation, and I stay your point of contact through the whole project. Questions, changes, anything that comes up, you come to me.
I'm out on the job with a great crew around me, and together we make sure every detail comes together the way we planned.
Born in Brazil and raised a farm kid in Northern California, I've always worked outside. Before Mountainshade, I worked on the business side of my brother-in-law's electrical and HVAC company, and that's where I saw what it takes to build a good trades business. I started out on my own with small landscape jobs that kept getting bigger, and I found out I love building outdoor spaces. I'd been visiting friends in Sequim for years, so I finally made the move and started Mountainshade here from scratch. This area has been good to us, and I plan on being here a long time.

FAQs
Do I need to be there?
Yes, for most visits. You'll walk me around the project and show me what you have in mind. If more than one person is making the decision, please have them there too.
Is the consultation free?
Yes.
When will I get an estimate?
Most of the time, for simple and moderate projects, you get a quote right there on site. If there are custom features, it's a fairly decent-sized project, or it needs 2D landscape plans or 3D renders, it takes a little longer.
Should everyone making the decision be there?
Yes, if two or more people are making the decision, please have them all at the meeting. It saves a bunch of back and forth getting everyone on the same page.
I'm in an HOA. Is that a problem?
Usually there's no problem. We'll handle the HOA side and submit all the plans. If you can, do a little research on their landscape regulations beforehand. Knowing the rules helps the conversation and gets it taken care of faster. I've never had one declined.
Do you do mowing or maintenance?
No. We don't do any yard maintenance.
